July 27 @ 8:00 am - July 28 @ 11:00 pm
The Norton Bicentennial Committee announced the concert schedule during the City of Norton’s 200th anniversary celebration July 22-29.
According to Kaitlin Braman, of the Norton Bicentennial Committee, Disco Inferno, Mark Leach and The Easy Street Band will perform and feature music that should appeal to all ages. She said all of the concerts will take place at Columbia Woods Park, 4060 Columbia Woods Drive.
“The Easy Street Band includes a lot of Norton members in the band,” she said. “We thought Mark Leach would be nice to have since he is from Barberton. We wanted to keep it as local as we could.”
On July 26, Disco Inferno will perform at 8 p.m. after the annual car show.
Leach will perform country music July 27 at 8 p.m. following the Silver Creek Ensemble’s performance at 7 p.m. Leach is known for his most recent single, “She Don’t Go to Church,” according to event officials.
The Easy Street Band will perform July 28 at 8 p.m. The band got its beginnings as the Rats, which was formed by Norton High School graduates in 1971, according to the band’s website. The band added some new members in 1976 and became known as The Easy Street Band, according to the site.
